About RailRoadInfra
India is building. Every single day.
A new expressway interchange opens in Rajasthan. A metro station gets inaugurated in Pune. A freight train rolls through the newly commissioned Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor. A tunnel blasted through the Himalayas gets one kilometre closer to completion.
And most of it goes unnoticed — buried in press releases, buried in ministry PDFs, or buried under entertainment headlines.
RailRoadInfra exists to change that.
Who We Are
We are a team of infrastructure enthusiasts, civil engineering professionals, and policy watchers who believe that India's roads, railways, and urban infrastructure deserve the same quality of coverage that markets and politics receive.
We started this blog because we were tired of reading either overly technical journals or watered-down news bites. There was no single place that explained India's infrastructure story clearly, completely, and consistently — so we built one.
What We Cover
We cover the full spectrum of India's physical infrastructure:
Roads & Highways — NHAI projects, expressways, national highways, toll policy, road safety, and Bharatmala programme updates.
Indian Railways — Vande Bharat, station redevelopment, KAVACH, electrification, budget allocations, freight, and recruitment.
Bullet Train & High-Speed Rail — Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor, NHSRCL updates, upcoming HSR routes, and international comparisons.
Metro & Urban Transit — Metro expansion in all cities, RRTS (Namo Bharat), monorail, and urban mobility planning.
Bridges & Tunnels — Engineering deep-dives into India's most complex infrastructure — Chenab Bridge, Zojila Tunnel, Atal Setu, and more.
Infrastructure Policy & Budget — Union Budget analysis, PM GatiShakti, NaBFID, PPP models, and ministry announcements.
Tenders & Contracts — NHAI, NFRA, railways, and metro tenders for contractors, consultants, and procurement professionals.
Smart Cities & Urban Infrastructure — Smart City Mission, AMRUT, integrated traffic systems, and digital urban infrastructure.
Green Infrastructure — Solar rail stations, EV corridors, green-rated highways, and sustainable construction.
Logistics & Freight — Dedicated Freight Corridors, MMLP, ULIP, and India's supply chain backbone.
Our Editorial Approach
Every article on this blog is researched from primary sources — official government portals, ministry press releases, NHAI circulars, Parliamentary Standing Committee reports, and data from IBEF, CMIE, and MoRTH.
We do not guess. We do not sensationalise. We do not copy-paste press releases without context.
When a project is delayed, we say so. When a budget allocation falls short, we analyse why. When a new technology is being introduced on Indian Railways, we explain how it actually works — not just that it exists.
